Meals become chunkier at this stage and flavours can become more complex. A varied range of tastes, textures and even ways of serving food will benefit bub greatly as she progresses to further stages. At this point bub will confidently handle finger foods and pouches may be a part of a wider range of meal types. From our own experience, at this stage the pouches come to the forefront for on the go (think road trips, supermarket trips, holidays, camping).

MEAL PLAN
By now bub is quite the foodie and no doubt has her favourites and perhaps has turned her nose up to the odd veggie. You may have introduced meat by now. For our pouch recipes we are catering to a broad range of diets so we haven’t included meat. In saying that you can always add meat into any veggie dish we are proposing. Steaming meat in our baby food maker is a great way to cook the protein evenly whilst preserving its nutrients. Ensure to blend quite well if mixing into a pouch so it can be squeezed out.
FAQS
What changes with the meal plan now?
How often should I feed solid food to baby?
Generally bubs diet at this stage is predominantly solid food with a milk supplement. You may even find you can serve bub the same dishes you eat yourself. Solid meals generally expand out too 4 meals a day with 2 milk meals. Each baby’s nutritional requirements differ so it’s important you seek the advice of your maternal health nurse or pediatrician.
